Operation Macaw, Costa Rica

C.I.R.F. Operators completed investigative field work at the request of Costa Rican Law Enforcement. Several 911 complaints to authorities indicated minors were being sex trafficked out of a high-end club. The area was tourist dense and Costa Rican detectives were rejected from entry to investigate. Drug trafficking, gambling, and massage parlors are common in this zone. At the direction of Immigration Police Detectives, operators infiltrated the club, gathered evidence, identified minors and traffickers, and learned the Modus-Operandi of the organization.
